As far as I remember it, she went through a phase where she wanted to dress like a boy and be called "John" or something and they humored her with that but never actually called her trans or did anything else. It was before trooning became trendy though.

The Telegraph used the Pitt-Jolie story as an opportunity to educate adults on how to handle a child's cross-gender explorations. It's easy to dismiss a child's tendency to gravitate toward toys and clothing generally assigned to its opposite gender as a phase.

The Telegraph spoke with clinical psychologist Linda Blair who advised parents to not jump to the conclusion their child is trans*. "It’s normal [for children with older siblings] to want to copy them and be like them," Blair explained. The healthiest and most respectful action a parent can take is to follow the Jolie-Pitt's example and allow their child to go through a normal human experience exploring their own identity at their own pace and on their own terms. I was definitely not following the madness closely enough back then, I was not even aware that already in 2014 people seriously used "assigned female at birth" for non-intersex people and tried to "respect pronouns" while Angelina Jolie herself said "SHE just wants to be like HER brothers". And sure, I'm not saying there were no trans people at all, but it wasn't that much of a trend yet and the real insanity (and most nonbinaries) still seemed to hide on tumblr while normal people made fun of it.

I always found it chilling how the media seemed to be chomping at the bit to trans that kid (and how people seem to want to do it in general) when weird little phases like that are so extremely prevalent in little kids. they don't have any concept of gender or identity and just want to do whatever the hell they want to do. it only becomes an issue when the parents decide that they want to troon out their kids for the asspats.

BTW, he has 5 kids (all boys) with three woman, oldest with another co-star and the youngest with his recent girlfriend in 2022. Since we only have Marlon Wayans as a passing name on here I'll do a write up on him.
